All ages are welcome -- children must be under supervision of a parent or guardian -- and there is something for everyone to do, regardless of age or physical ability. 100% of the harvest goes to the hungry.

Wear gloves, dress in layers, and please bring as many LEAVES as you can so we can mulch the garden for winter.

NOTE: We have a special speaker at the beginning of this month's meeting from Living Jobs for All Illinois Coalition (20 Minutes).

Topic: Congressman John Conyers of Detroit has recently introduced HR 870, the 21st Century Full Employment and Training Act. This is the bill which our Living Wage Jobs for All Illinois Coalition is supporting this year. It addresses the fundamental deficit in the US Economy, which is the Jobs Deficit. It would create jobs to replace those that were destroyed by the meltdown of the financial sector. It would fund those jobs with a financial transaction tax.
